The EventCompass app serves as a conference companion — it allows users to view schedules, announcements, organizational information, and the conference bulletin in a web-based format (WebView).
2. Scope of Data Collected
The application does not collect, process, or store any personal data such as name, email address, phone number, etc.
The only technical data that may be processed are:
– Firebase push notification tokens (for sending event-related messages),
– Anonymous technical data related to app performance (e.g. system logs).
3. Push Notifications
The app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver push notifications about conference events.
Users can disable notifications at any time in the system settings of their device.
FCM tokens are used solely for delivering notifications and are not linked to any personal data.
4. Permissions and User Consent
Upon first launch, the application may request permission for:
– Receiving push notifications.
No other permissions (e.g., access to contacts, location, or files) are required.
5. Third-Party Data Access
Technical data (such as FCM tokens) may be processed in accordance with the terms of service of Google Firebase.
The application does not share any personal data with third parties.
6. Data Security
We take all reasonable steps to ensure the security of data transmission and prevent misuse.
All communication between the app and third-party services (e.g. Firebase) is encrypted via HTTPS.
7. Changes to the Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update this policy.
Any changes will be communicated through the application or published on our website.
